“Feathers of Resistance” is a vibrant march of feather and fire. This mixed-media protest piece uses flamingos as its unlikely activists; bold, elegant and unapologetically loud. Defiant and marching beneath slogans and signs pulled directly from midcentury women’s liberation protests. The flamingos stand in for the bodies that once carried these signs, creating a dialogue between the past and present.
