“Hatched” is a mixed-media acrylic painting based on the C.S. Lewis quote: “We must be hatched or go bad”. In this piece the birds symbolize a force actively changing the system by removing the eggs and hatching them differently….elsewhere in an effort to change the dominant patriarchal system. It is a heavy and slow process, but one that is driven by hope for equity and humanity.
