"Message from Swaziland" has been created with the intention of sharing the message of the Swazi people, a country suffering from the greatest HIV/AIDS crisis in the world! This past summer of 2008, I participated in the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's (EGPAF) AIDS Walk Africa in Swaziland. It was a unique opportunity to raise funds and awareness for an amazing cause, to prevent mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS and eradicate pediatric AIDS.

Each image is created from my original photography in a mixed-media acrylic painting format of the Swazi people who touched my soul while participating in AIDS Walk Africa in Swaziland. Each person has their own message that they need you to see and hear. My hope is that these images will not only send the message of the Swazi people and the HIV pandemic, but inspire your soul the way I have been inspired by the courage and hope of the Swazi people.

During AIDS Walk Africa, I walked the Swazi roads mothers walk while carrying their children to receive treatment at the EGPAF clinics. It is a difficult path and heavy burden that the Swazi people carry. As an artist my burden is to carry this message onto you...to make you feel something, to help you see the hope and reality of putting an end to pediatric HIV, to help you see the from their eyes the hope for us all.

Because in Swaziland 33% of the population is infected with the HIV/AIDS virus, 33% of the artwork sold will be directly donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation to continue supporting their amazing work fighting pediatric AIDS.
